When my son Jeremy was just 8 months old, I found myself in a very difficult situation, my mother had travelled, and my nanny of over two years suddenly left. I didn’t know how I would manage work and childcare. Care R Us had just opened in our neighborhood, and although they were offering after-school services at the time, Miss Awo didn’t hesitate to step in and support me. Jeremy stayed with them during my working hours, and that support became my lifeline until things stabilized. Beyond the care and support, I was constantly reassured by the safe and secure environment provided for the children. As a parent, knowing that your child is in a place where security is taken seriously gives you real peace of mind. Communication was also excellent, we were always kept informed about activities and events, which made me feel connected and involved every step of the way. One of my most treasured memories is seeing Jeremy take his first steps at Care R Us, captured on video and shared with us. The joy I felt in that moment is indescribable. Today, Jeremy is in Year 3 and excelling. He was the Valedictorian of his year group and developed a strong love for reading from an early age. He is focused, intelligent, and incredibly determined, even during a hospital stay, he still wanted to write his exams. Care R Us has been instrumental in shaping the confident, driven child he is today. I am truly grateful to the teachers and staff for their dedication to raising well-rounded, responsible children.
